Overview

Automated probe and primer design. Specify a target, choose an algorithm, and Visual OMP will automatically determine an appropriate probe or primer. You can then add these sequences to your experiment.

Analyze your assay. In greatly accelerated time, Visual OMP will display the results of the simulation, including the Delta-G, Delta-H, Delta-S, Tm, Percent Bound and Concentration of each secondary structure.

Easy, yet powerful. Visual OMP combines an easy-to-use Microsoft Windows interface with the powerful OMP (Oligonucleotide Modeling Platform) engine.

Simple entry of sequences. Simply import or enter sequences of your targets, probes and/or primers, specify solution conditions and run the molecular simulation.

View graphics of results. You can view a graphic of each secondary structure, a numerical analysis graph of temperature versus concentration, and a cross-hybridization grid.

Integrated BLAST and ClustalW sequence alignment. Perform BLAST searches of appropriate genomic databases (public or local) to find potential mis-hybridization gene sequences, then add the targets to your experiment. Use Clustal to align multiple gene sequences in your experiment.
