3) Copying and filtering of the highlighted sequence into the sequence input form

• The sequence will appear as it did on the NCBI site

• Pressing the tab-key will filter out all illegal characters and digits and fill out the defaults for the other columns

 

• This filtering of the sequence will place all IUPAC ambiguity codes into the "Variations" grid and the Variations column will say "TRUE" (in this case there are no variations and the column says "FALSE")

• The Sequence will now only contain legal characters

• Press "Ok"
