Visual OMP 4.0 Released
Researchers now have unpresidented power
and flexabiity to design their assays and test them in an in
silico environment.
Ann Arbor, Mich. December 13, 2004
DNA Software, a leading provider of software, scientific consulting
and lab research for genomic researchers, launched Visual OMP
4 . This product is the latest advancement of the companys
proprietary Oligonucleotide Modeling Platform (OMP) which provides
researchers with an in silico laboratory environment for designing
PCR and microarray based experiments. With Visual OMP 4, genomic
researchers now have unpresidented power and flexability to
design their assays and test them in an in silico enviornment.
"Visual OMP 4.0 is a stunning breakthrough
incorporating powerful visualization and a full featured sequence
editor into our already existing world leading visual OMP platform.
Now for the first time on a desktop, researchers can design
assays, test them out, and visualize the binding sites for various
probes and primers, helping them to improve their assay designs
before they ever get to the wetlab stage," states Donald
Hicks, COO and Vice President of DNA Software.
Some of the new features include a sequence
view tab, for more visualization, and new buffer options for
the solution conditions. Apart from temperature and salt concentrations,
the buffers glycerol, TMAC and formamide can now be used in
the solution conditions. Visual OMP 4.0 also makes it possible
to design RNA and Taqman probes. For a complete list of improvements,
please view the version history under the Support section of
our website.
Academic pricing is available for all products.

About DNA Software, Inc.
DNA Software, Inc. combines science and software
to enable industrial genomics through advances in technologies
based on nucleic acids. The companys first software platform,
OMP (Oligonucleotide Modeling Platform,) models in silico
the folding and hybridization of single-stranded nucleic acids
with great accuracy. The company combines OMP with scientific
consulting, custom software development, and custom laboratory
research to deliver state-of-the-art support for designing and
developing of nucleic acid based technologies. For more information
